History of crafts school No. 1 in Nukus
According to the order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Nukus Construction Technical School was opened in 1965-1966. In the 1991-1992 academic year, the Nukus Construction College was reorganized on the basis of the Nukus Construction Technical School. In 2001, in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 253, the secondary specialized educational institution was transformed into a vocational educational institution.By order No. 16 of January 27, 2004, and by order No. 275 of the Education Department of October 26, 2004, the “Nukus Construction and Communal Economy Vocational College” was established, and educational buildings, internal and external communications, and sports grounds were reconstructed in 2004-2005. In 2011, the Nukus Professional College of Communal Economy and Service was reorganized.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 6, 2019 No. UP-5812 “On additional measures aimed at further improving the system of vocational education,” the Nukus Vocational School No. 1 was reorganized on the basis of the Nukus Vocational College of Communal Economy and Service.
Currently, the craft school has 39 subject rooms, 3 computer rooms, 3 laboratory rooms, 1 indoor sports hall, 1 sports field, 1 driving training platform, 1 fire and rescue platform, 1 educational library room, 100 student dormitories for schoolchildren, and 6 practice workshops.
The vocational school ranks 600 places, currently, 1060 students in group 40 receive full-time education in 10 specialties, and 28 students in group 1 receive dual education in a total of 1088 students. Experimental teachers No. 56 and masters of industrial education No. 35 provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge. 15 general education and science clubs, 4 sports sections and the “Young Saviors” volunteer club for the leisure of students.
